Planning Documentary ( 5 mins Doc)

• It could be something, somewhere  or someone you are interested in or a topic you want to find out more about
• Think about people and places you can easily access to film
• You have done research and practice tasks using various modes and techniques, what would you like to do for your own film? Will you include interviews, voice over, observational style filming, photographs, text, music?

Ideas

The people I had in mind was a music producer called Femi also goes by ( Bushi ) I want to combined the three types of documentary types together like the previous documentary I did . https://youtu.be/6_pTi6HlL1o which was a mixture of observational , expository and persecutory . Femi goes to Leyton sixth form college , so therefore I will be interviewing him and following him around , it would be like a story based documentary . The places I was considering to film is the college , places outside the college such as his church , his studio , where he goes in his spare time. The topics that would be spoken about will be questions such as ,

• Who inspired you to become a music producer ?
• What subjects do you study and why did you chose them ?
• Who inspires you and why ?
• What type of music have you produce ?
• What genre of music do you listen to ?
• Does your parents support your choice to become a music producer ?
• Do you have any regrets or anything you would like to change ?

Femi is person who generally has a story to tell about his journey and how he got there and what challenges he had to face to get to where he is today .
what would defiantly be included is music , maybe some of the music he has produced or listen to , another thing would be that I will be adding various voiceovers which will help tell the story in general and it would make the documentary very effective . Also I would be including a lot of observational shots because , I rather the audience see the visuals and the concept behind me making this documentary about this particular person . Some text would be used maybe at the beginning introducing his name and then at the end where im adding the credits .  Throughout the documentary I will be including a few interviews that wont nesercaily be shown in the documentary I may use as a voiceover then have observational footage shown over the top .


Another thing I was considering doing is using some of his friends in the documentary and then adding some of friends to speak on his behalf  , I want to make this documentary have a storyline because that's what makes it most real to terms of what all the footage means .

Topics

I want to talk about many things for example his life outside college , I want to to know if his life was hard growing up or was everything handed to him .

What will be different from the other documentaries I have made is that this defiantly be more planned and more put together I have more time to edit this and develop this into a good documentary .
