Foley Sound Reflection

A quick reflection on todays lesson we learned about Foley sound , and how its created for example sounds we hear in movies , e.g. a dramatic punch the sound is over exaggerated off camera by either the punch meat or some type of item to create the exact sound we hear on TV . We was actually given a task to create our own Foley sound no dialogue what so ever to actually see if we illustrate a story through sound , my group used sound by creating loud foot seats to build up tension , then to create someone stepping on a twig , we snapped a twig in half ourselves , then we also recorded something running , then we recorded someone screaming . It was a fairly easy task but the improvements we could of made is that , we could recorded in a quiet place where talking and wind was recorded with the actual sound but overall it was quite a good first attempt experimenting with Foley sound .
