Silhouette

Is to have a black background to create contrast with the actual imagine.
it doesn't matter what backdrop you use it could be a white backdrop , black or grey
Soft box - the purpose of the soft box is too diffuse the light , it reduces harsh shadows , the closer the soft box is to model the softer the light appears , it emulating window light.
The more area you use with the soft box .
The bigger the photograph will be
light a bit dimmer . Soft box is the frame
Camera was manual ,changed the setting of light .

The light was an 6 now on 4 made the flash a bit dimmer .
you get a gradient come through .

below are too examples of perfect silhouettes , volunteers who are were asked to face to one side the lighting had too be just right or it wouldn't create that shadow effect we need .
if the one of the photos you can see features of her face because the setting of the light wasn't changed so therefore the camera didn't capture the perfect silhouette .
The purpose of the reflector boards was too reflect the light away from the models face.

To create this perfect silhouette we had to position her in a sideways motion so there the outline of her face would appear on the camera at the beginning we set the light at 6 but then when we shot lertisa we changed it too 4 due to the fact that we was using reflector boards to reflect the light off her face to then come out with this perfect silhouette of the side of her face . As you can see in the photograph someone is holding the reflector boards and other boards behind it , this is so that the silhouette comes out even .
