Photography Presentations
MY IDEA
Fashion photography using a model red backdrop, putting the
photos on frames and ripped up magazines. (Saying vogue at the top)
As part of your main
photography project you are to research, plan and discuss the following points
Project that you chose cannot involve anyone in the class
Must be a series of images or can be a few (complete
creative control)
We can chose any genre. Editorial, fashion, journalism etc.
. . .
Have a concept and theme with the genre.
- Develop ideas: client requirements, e.g. creative intention, target audience, output Requirement, e.g., print, size; constraints eg,technological; practices, e.g. historical, contemporary; approaches and influences, e.g. commercial, professional practice, visual language, e.g. composition, framing,
The above task 1 is explained below.
- Creative Intention; what is your chosen genre of photography as discussed in class? Explain your concept/theme for this genre. You need to explain your approach to your ideas and why you have chosen them?
- Target Audience; Identify and explain this audience in relation to ongoing research you have looked at. Who and why is this your audience and how will your photography project appeal to them?
Who is your specific audience? Explain why it is your
audience. Is it a niche audience?
- Output; Devise a layout plan of how you feel the finished project will be shown. Print sizes, A0, A1 etc.
Exhibit the work. Think about how the project would be
presented.
- Constraints; Any issues that may arise when planning the project. Studio etc.
What would be the next plan, for example if you had models
would they show up on time or at all? Then what would you do about it?
- Practices and Influences; your own independent research. You have to explain your research and how it’s influenced your idea development. Explain your professional practice in relation to the studio. What is it about their work that you like, who is the audiences are? Technically and aseptically you like about their work (framing and angle)
- Visual language. Discuss technical and aesthetical qualities of your project.
Where you discuss your own work .
Remember to review
the Distinction level criteria.
